Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Big portions and good food! We ordered the kimchi pancakes, beef bulgogi with crystal noodles, and the tteokbokki noodle dish. I really enjoyed the pancakes, they were delicious and flavorful. My second favorite dish was were the tteokbokki noodles, they were thick and the mix of veggies and sauce all together really made the dish great. The beef bulgogi and crystal noodles were good, but I feel that the bulgogi maybe could've had more flavor or seasoning. We also had some pork belly (not pictured), and this was my least favorite dish because of the flavoring.

Dan Sung Sa is a hidden gem located in Koreatown! It's a well-known divey bar with a fun, lively atmosphere that keeps locals coming back. The service is quick and friendly, making it a great spot to kick back and relax. The food is hella good, authentic Korean comfort food that hits the spot every time. The drinks are also reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a few without breaking the bank. The fried chicken was flavorful, but next time I’ll ask for the sauce on the side to dip. The skewers are my favorite, they’re perfectly grilled and full of flavor. The Korean pancake was hot and crispy, just how I like it, and it’s always a satisfying snack. Overall, Dan Sung Sa is a must-visit if you’re craving good Korean bar food in a laid-back setting. It’s the kind of place that feels like a local secret! Come early or late so to avoid the wait.

incredible experience, was super fun and attentive, ate a LOT and for a great price, highly recommend all skewers. the place is also beautiful, has this alternative vibe with all the walls scribbled up and the banners hanging from everywhere. went on a monday night (holiday) and there was a 25/30 minute wait, which was totally worth it

Seems like a lot of people have a long wait when coming here. We got lucky on a Sunday night around 7p and sat right down with no wait! Some people complain about service … let’s be real, you come for the food and not for top notch service. Service was fine and food came fast! We liked every dish we got … tteokbokki and Kimchi pancake being the top 2. The cod stew was okay. Short ribs were also really good. Fun spot with good food πŸ‘

First time here, we heard the wait can be up to and hour or more as they don't take reservations so we got there when they opened. The area is not in a fancy part of LA and the parking lot is small. Its free parking till the restaurant opens then it's cash only valet. Once inside it's pretty dark and sitting is tight. The walls have writing and stickers from past visitors which is interesting so bring something to leave your mark. Menu has a lot of skewers options besides platters. They brought us a small bowl of soup to start with while we selected our food. It was wonderful. We ordered a variety of skewers, some platters and a bottle of raspberry wine and it was all delicious. My favorites were the beef bulgogi, steamed potstickers and cheese corn. I do recommend trying this place if you like Korean food and a fun atmosphere.
